We hope this message finds you well. This week we had our first session of our Distance Education for Families workshop. It was an amazing experience! Please see the attached flyer and comments from a few of our participants. If you are still interested in joining the class, please sign up.
As many of you have already heard, last week the Clark County School District School Board approved the return of PK-3 students to the hybrid model. In the hybrid model students would attend classes two days a week and have asynchronous (prerecorded and independent) instruction three days a week. Parents will also be provided the choice of continuing with full time Distance Education. It is important to know that there is a very high probability that your child will be assigned to a new teacher as part of this transition to hybrid instruction.
The District will be sending a survey to all families of PK-3 students next week. It is imperative that you complete this survey to indicate the educational format you want for your child. We realize many of you completed the survey earlier this year, but it was decided to resurvey the population who is transitioning to Hybrid Learning to ensure all families are provided the format of instruction that best meets the needs of their children.
In order to keep you fully informed, we will be hosting two informal parent meetings on Monday, January 25th at 8:00 am and 2:00 pm to answer any questions you may have regarding the return to Hybrid instruction for our PK-3 students. We encourage you to attend the meeting prior to completing the survey. Please use the following google meet link for our meeting: https://meet.google.com/qoz-wfjb-hrd
We will be sending the survey out to all PK-3 families next Monday, January 25th.
On a happy note, our fabulous PTO is sponsoring Valentine Grams this year. All submissions will be done electronically and delivered via slide show for students to enjoy during their class valentine celebration. Please see the attached flyer for details.
